EDP ​​will integrate for the first time the Carbon Efficient Index (“ICO2”) of B3. The index brings together 62 shares from 58 companies listed on B3, which together represent R$3.3 trillion in market value.

Certified with the Women on Board seal, an initiative supported by ONU Women to encourage the increase of gender equity in senior leadership. EDP ​​has 33% female participation, triple the national average.

Best Practices in People Management:

Certification of Top Employers Brasil is awarded by the CRF Institute. Between EDP programs that contributed to the recognition, it is worth highlighting the Energizing, the On Top internship program and the Annual Training and Development Plan.

Innovation Award – one of the 50 most innovative companies in southern Brazil:

A ranking prepared by Amanhã magazine, with support from consulting company Edusys and FDC. In the energy sector, EDP stood out as leader of electric power companies that competed for awards, and ranked first place in innovation.

Smart Contact Center Award – Gold in the category “Customer Respect”:

National Quality

The National Quality Award 2013 Cycle (Prêmio Nacional de Qualidade Ciclo 2013) recognised both Distributors of the Company, EDP São Paulo in the category “Customers”, for the second consecutive year, and EDP Espírito Santo as the single company that attained levels of management excellence within the evaluation criteria carried out, receiving the Espirito Santo Quality Trophy (Troféu Prêmio Qualidade Espirito Santo). It was granted by the National Foundation of Quality (Fundação Nacional da Qualidade,FNQ).

IR Global Rankings

The 14th Version of the IR Global Rankings recognized EDP Energias do Brasil as TOP 5 in the ‘Financial Disclosure Procedures’ category and TOP 5 in the ‘Best CFO’ category. IRGR was created for recognizing best practice in company-investor communication. In this version, the IRGR included a new category, the ‘Best CFO/IRO’, in which Miguel Amaro, EDP’s Vice President for Finance and Investor Relations was ranked among the best in the category.

IR Global Rankings

Analysis undertaken by IR Global Rankings, one of the most comprehensive international Investor Relations evaluation and classification rankings, placed EDP first in its worldwide rankings of corporate governance in the Utilities sector for 2011. The ranking evaluated the company’s good practices in serving shareholders and market analysts as well as in procedures for financial disclosure and guarantee of shareholders’ rights. Selection was made out of a roll call of 600 companies from 30 countries and different sectors.

The stock exchange is responsible for calculating and managing the index.

ISE assesses feedback from companies committed to social and environmental responsibility. The participants in the new portfolio were selected from 51 companies that responded to a questionnaire developed by the Sustainability Studies Center (GVCes) of the São Paulo School of Business Management of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV-EAESP) and sent to 137 companies that issue the 150 most liquid shares listed on the BM&FBOVESPA.
